Okay so this has been a fun saga. A researcher I work with got this email from a candidate in response of an innocuous pitch regarding a role.

We were, of course, agog.

After a night’s sleep I had the energy to navigate this and I sent this person an email.

Because I am appalled and also wanted to make sure it was what it seemed to be.

Why is the inherent fragility in the reply no surprise to me? (Rhetorical)

Of course I had more to say, still do, but I bet I hear no more from mr bigot.

Also, throw some good thoughts to recruiters. Sometimes we are jerks but sometimes folks are jerks to us.
