1/8 RANT
Here& #39;s one thing you notice when you grow up and live in the country:
Nature does what nature does.
I think people in cities don& #39;t realize this.
They think they CONTROL their environment (because they largely do, in a micro sense)

That DOES NOT translate to the real world.
The natural world does not care what man does. We are fleas on the dog& #39;s back.
People in the country realize this.
We see it EVERY DAY.
Viruses, climate change, wildfires, etc. That is nature doing its thing.

Man has no more power to control this virus anymore than he can control a tornado, flood or drought.
Everything in life is cyclical, including life itself.
We see this with wildlife.
We get a mild winter, and many of the old antelope survive. An UNUSUAL amount, in fact.

During a severe winter, an unusual amount die, even some healthy animals.
This principle applies to plants, insects, people. Everything
I can try to kill insects and I do, but this only applies to insects on my farm.
And it& #39;s only a temporary fix. New insects move in.

The insects adapt, so do the plants, animals and humans. So does the earth itself.
Nature will always seek to maintain a balance. That& #39;s what it does.
The sooner people accept this fact, the sooner we will all be better off.

There is a segment of society that clearly does not accept this as fact.
They believe they were born the "wrong" gender. They want to fix nature& #39;s mistake.
This same ideology applies to the climate change debate.
We observe less than 200 years of data (some questionable)..

...and decide that microscopic time period is "normal."
Although, clearly that "normal" was not normal in the past and we know because the fossil records suggest otherwise. (We ignore this because it doesn& #39;t fit in our thesis.)
