An unemployment insurance boost is a way of maintaining spending and thus the loss of even more jobs. Stimulus checks boost consumer demand by increasing disposable incomes, which would create millions of new jobs which would further boost incomes.

This is just good economics.
If you are against this stuff, what are you for? And magical thinking is not acceptable. You can't just say, let things sort themselves out. If you love capitalism and are against UBI, you are hugging capitalism to death.

Don't let blind ideology starve our economy of customers.
What is your solution to underemployment and the fact tens of millions of Americans have jobs and yet still live in poverty? Forcing wage increases is market distortion. Education/upskilling won't fix it because those jobs still need to be done.

Answer: Lift the starting point.
As @AndrewYang has said over and over again, UBI is just capitalism that doesn't start at zero. Starting at zero is like starting a game of Monopoly without any money and never getting more for passing Go. As the players in our economy, we should all start above the poverty line.
