Now that I am home, here are some of my coverage of today’s pro-democracy rally and the crackdown on peaceful protestors that may or may not have been use by @ThaiEnquirer. First is when I arrived and learnt that they have moved the protest site. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา

Protestors were spread out on top of the skywalk at the start of the rally as it was raining and they were unsure of the protest has been moved there. Police were already forming a group under it. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Seeing that the police were below I decided to go down and greet them with the protestors who were already gathering there around them. The police group was stranded there as riot police got blocked by thier own barricadesback at Chalerm Phao. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Rain continue to pour down but more and more people were joining while traffic were still being let through. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม๊อบ16ตุลา

Protestors above and under the skywalk were greeting each other with the three-finger salute for democracy while asking the tyrant to let go of their friends. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
The first car with sound system then arrived to the site to support the speakers. They were welcome by the peaceful protestors. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Around an hour, thousands have joined, mostly high school and university students mixed with adults of various ages. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Police were already forming up lines between them and the protestors since 5:30pm from the Siam discovery side before they moved back to the riot police lines back in Chalearm Phao. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา

Before the crash, the protestors sat down to show the police that they do not want to confront with them. They asked for the police to sit down as well but to no avail. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
One of the protestors decided to confront the police to tell them to go home. He was pulled back by one of the student guards as they feared the police would use this as an excuse to hurt them and they did. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Protestors were singing the national anthem to show unity but the police was having none of it. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา

The police sprayed themselves with chemically mixed water for the second time until they managed to hit their target of protestors protecting themselves with umbrellas. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Following the water, the police said they will escalate the crackdown and moved closer to the protestors’ line. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Protestors successfully pushed back the police with empty hands on the first charge which led the police to regrouped. To be fair, batons were not being used at the start, they came later. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Moving to another side to get a different angle must be done carefully. The best time is when the police moved back to allow some breathing space. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
Protestors continued to be pushed back by the police under the the Siam’s BTS station. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
The protestors were now pushed back all the way to Siam Discovery when the main protest site at Pathunwan Intersection decided to call off the protest to protect the younger protestors. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
By the time the police got close to the protest site at Phathumwan Intersection, only adults were left defying the state repression. Thank you for delaying the police so that the kids can get home. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
The stand off between the police and protestors then began under the Pathumwan Skywalk. Many journalists were sprayed with chemically mixed water at the time, even though we have identified ourselves and were out of their way. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
The police then chased us away from their line which was uncalled for given that we have all identified ourselves to them with our arm bands. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
With the police not stop for anything, many protestors decided to flee down the road in front of MBK. Many small barricades were set up behind them to slow the progress of the police that we're moving in. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
On my retreat, a student got knocked down by the police water cannon before he was helped up by other protestors. And that's when my battery died. And as we are off tomorrow, see you guys again when we @ThaiEnquirer are needed. #16ตุลาไปแยกปทุมวัน #ม็อบ16ตุลา
