What’s always missing from the conversation around the 1994 crime bill is how hyper violence and a life of crime was marketed to young men of all races specifically after Nixon. It’s another reason why Trump is so popular with men of all races.

Black men saw the “Gangster” life of Italian immigrants who weren’t quite considered white themselves. Reason I know? My grandfather was a Sicilian immigrant and a member of the infamous Chicago Gambino crime family.

My grandfather blended in with Black Americans and found a home with my beautiful dark skinned grandmother whom he produced a son (my father) and a daughter (my aunt)

My youngest aunt said they used to laugh seeing this white man walking round the hood looking for grand ma but that was life for many in cities like Chicago and New York in the 60’s and 70’s

But its not lost on me how so many young men of color mirrored the violence and propensity for crime after the rise and fall of Capone. Italians assimilated into Whiteness and many never answered for their crimes.

When it was time to bring the hammer down after Nixon and Dr. Kings death, of course Black Americans were targeted, made into examples. I wish more in the media discussed this.

For the record the 1994 crime bill had no racial component attached to it. It was “insinuated” that the term “Super predator” was referencing Black and Brown boys, when majority of the ads for the bill showed photos of white boys.

The anti-Black white led media ran with this in 2016 and just like sets of data can be manipulated, so can media narratives. These folks want Black and Brown folks to feel persecuted by politicians. The goal is to “other” us.

The entire goal of the WASPS in MSM running with this 94 crime bill shit was to other Black and Brown Americans from Hillary. Making it look as if she personally “targeted Black boys” with this bill.

The truth is violent crime was outta control across the country and police departments across the country selectively used elements of the crime bill to target specific groups because of racism.

The Italian Mob is in court *till this day* answering for crimes from the 1910’s why are there never any stories about this from the MSM? I get knocks on my door from random congress folks in IL because my last name is INFAMOUS in these streets. Why no coverage there?

I’ve had cops who heard of my grandfathers family’s reputation look at my ID and get shook. I never understood why until I did the research later. (He died when I was 6 months) why aren’t we talking about this when we discuss the crime bill?!

I just want my people to stop getting up in arms bout yt folks who try to other themselves from this American experience. Many white folks would rather starve than join in solidarity with us they live by a different set of rules than the rest of us.

Many yt folks think they should be free to harm and commit crimes. This is my biggest problem with White Women because Black Women are the ones who led/continue to lead these movements to stop the carnage of their kids on these streets.

White Women have a problem in their communities and nobody expects them to stop the white men they raise/lay up with, from terrorizing this country yet Black Women are responsible for every downfall Black Men face——

Black Women just wanted the killings to stop, Black Men were so drunk with power, rage, anger, and the lust for that gangster life white Italians, Colombians and the Irish had. They wanted a piece of the American crime pie and BW paid the price for their quest in our blood.

When it was time for folks to answer for those crimes, America did what America does. Black Men still havent quite understood that these yt folks arent yalls friend. They’re looking for cover.

I think having a Bi-racial parent and a Black mother has given me a perspective of Yt folks that doesn’t include idolization. I know the grass aint greener for Yt folks no matter how much they try to front.

But yt Americans definitely showed their hand after that accomplished ass Black Man won in 2008. Yall still don’t see the jig, yall still believe that their Yt skin gives them some super power it doesn’t I promise you.

There is nothing I love more than being a Black Woman. I don’t feel intimidated or less than around Yt folks because many of them didn’t have half the shit I had growing up. Many of them aren’t half as cultured as I am.

I love my culture deeply in my soul. This is my stock. Mississippi men. I have never felt lesser because of my Black skin. Anything Yt folks got access to in this country I can have. I have never been hung up on who I am. I love this Black skin im in.
