I’ve got the new #COVID19 case data for Minnesota, but first, make sure you’re sitting down.

Now, before you panic, here’s what the testing data looks like — similarly record-setting:
New tests and new cases actually grew by about the same amount today, and positivity rate barely budged. Today’s spike in cases is due almost entirely to a surge in testing.
New #COVID19 hospital admissions seem like they’ve maybe leveled off a bit. This can change in a hurry, though, especially because not all hospitals report this data promptly.
#COVID19 deaths have declined from the peaks of the last two days, to what would have been considered high most of the summer and fall to date. The 7-day trend continues to climb:
Unsurprisingly, with tests soaring, cases are up in every region of the state. The general pattern remains the same: the most new cases in central MN, the fewest in Hennepin/Ramsey:
Hispanic Minnesotans continue to report the highest rate of new #COVID19 cases, but prevalence among Native American Minnesotans has shot up the past week:
Unsurprisingly, the number of active, confirmed cases in Minnesota has reached a record high, too.
