This story happened to my good friend Chris on the r/law subreddit.

Essentially, a thread "Lawyers for Biden" was stickied in the subreddit, attempting to help get attorneys involved in helping the campaign.

Chris found this to be inappropriately partisan and unacceptable.
He then decided if there is going to be this thread, there should at least then also be a Trump one as to be fair to both sides of the spectrum.

At this point he took the EXACT POST and changed all the names to Trump/Republicans etc. It was an identical post to the Biden one.
He then commented asking the mods to sticky the trump one as well.

At this point, the Trump thread was deleted and he was BANNED from r/law and mods muted him from being able to contact anyone about this issue.
This is completely unacceptable, and its only because of the political slant of the moderators on reddit. This also tends to overwhelmingly skew liberal, and its one of the reasons the right hates the control of social media.

The subreddit then fully endorsed Biden later
