Nigeria is blessed with talented youths, whose creativity, ideas, and entrepreneurial spirit is being recognised at the global stage. They get to work or freelance with companies around the world and are paid handsomely for it.

The workplace of the future will not classify earnings by age, gender, qualification, and in some cases, years of experience. These must-have skills are expected of young people in the #FutureofWork: Critical thinking and problem-solving;

Jobs like web dev't, graphic design, content creation, among other professions in the #Technology Industry are the new wave of dream jobs for the youth. These skillsets are not taught in our institutions; most youths have had to equip themselves with these digital skills.

The older generation lived in a time where work was done differently. We need a mindset shift to understand better the youth in a fast-changing world.

We need a generation that better understands the opportunities inherent in a #DigitalEconomy and #Globalisation.

To meet the youths at their points of pain, we need to balance innovation with responsive policies that will spur the growth of the tech ecosystem.

As part of the mindset shift, an understanding of the profile of today's youth is critical.

As a country, we cannot fail this current generation.

It is our collective effort to provide the support systems and integrate this new change in our institutions. By providing quality education and skills, as we transition into the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
