I know "court packing" sounds like a tough issue for the Biden campaign, but it doesn't need to be. [short thread]
I spend a lot of my day pouring over research about moderate voters. Primarily for statewide issue campaigns. The one message that works almost *every time* you need to move them to your side?

Pursuing, restoring, or otherwise striking ideological or political "balance"
Republicans have abused the judicial confirmation process at every turn to destroy that balance and to tip the scales in favor of large corporations, polluters, and right wing zealots. Mitch McConnell and many other Rs are more or less proud of this.
Biden's team has come close, but has not yet fully leveraged, this to their messaging advantage.

Now that @JoeBiden has promised a fuller answer on CP before Election Day, they have a golden opportunity to do it. Here's the message:
"Republicans have so recklessly abused the confirmation process, that if elected, I will need to seriously consider major reforms to the system, including by adding more justices, to finally restore the ideological balance that our country's founders intended."
I'm sure sharper minds than me can distill that even further. But the message and advantages are clear:

- Make the mission about ideological balance, not some allegedly "radical" agenda.

- Stuff the GOP's BS "original intent" rhetoric right back down their throats
- Give progressives what they rightfully want (they won't care about the framing) and send them into the voting booth riding high.

- Capitalize on your rep. for bipartisanship: an overwhelmed media will help you by amplifying this narrative if you just give them the opportunity
And that's it! Thanks for reading. Hope I was able to add something to the conversation here. [End to this longer-than-expected thread].
