I often feel very in alone in thinking that over the course of my life as a gay man…I’ve engaged in penetrative sex far more out of a sense of obligation and far less out of a sense of desire or preference.

Don’t get me wrong…there have been some enjoyable moments. But in retrospect…I’m not really a fan.

It really makes the “what are you?” conversation hella awkward.

And miss me with the “you just ain’t had it right yet” soliloquy like people want to give you about watermelon, okra and chitlins and it’s relation to your “Blackness”.

It’s okay to not prefer something without being grounds to revoke someone’s membership in a community.
