Passages - this is a big one. Instead of just indexing a whole page for certain topics, Google will now index individual passages from a page, rank them on their own, and link to them directly from search. 4/8
Subtopics - this will increase the diversity of results for broad and general search terms like "jaguars" or "home exercise" (end of 2020). Recommendation: have more granular content dealing with specifics of a general topic 5/8
Video update similar to Passages where Google can analyze and index individual sections of a video. Already saw this live yesterday when I searched "zipper repair" and got a video with several sections tagged and linked to for various aspects of the repair 6/8
Data Subsets: Google will display an instant answer for many statistical queries, with links for more information. These answers boxes can even include things like trend charts. 7/8
