✨thread of useful videos on writing✨

(I will add more as I come across it, and feel free to dm me if you think something is worth adding!)
general advice from Brandon Sanderson! his whole channel is a GOLD mine for advice - use what more experienced authors have learned!
Merphy Napier has a “Dear Authors,” series where she dives into what exactly readers love to see and what they hate to see, spanning from romance to fear and suspense. Definitely worth a watch to see what readers are excited for/tired of https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJCqICJZQGWjZI8BKf-OwhQNQK4tCDz7W
if you want to be accurate and realistic, there’s no better youtuber to listen to than James tullos. he goes through details that can make your world different and stand out (especially applies to fantasy/scifi/cosmic horror writers) https://www.youtube.com/user/MrWtfiswiththis
Hello Future Me’s series On Writing is SUPER useful for everything from character arcs to wordbuilding to plot, recommend 100% https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1TLSKocOLTvdl54a6wgNdB8oSm-eZ7h6
SavageBooks has an amazing range too - most noteworthy is their “Dialogue dive,” videos where they go into detail about great scenes and what exactly makes them great, and how you can do that too https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXyVz9-w9Ippr-j2Yz4zAcQ
Daniel greene is another fantasy/sci-fi focused editor BUT has videos about everything really, and again holds stuff up to a high standard SO AIM FOR THAT https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGye3IeTsQJkyY7_pdvEK_VKSeJ_20JkE
of course it’s worth noting that a lot of these are OPINIONS and there can be tropes readers are tired of handled well/flipped to be fresh and interesting, but these are just suggestions to get your creativity thinking!
