For the next three weeks:

...no matter how kind a person you are

...no matter how much you hate confrontation

...no matter how uncomfortable it makes you to speak harshly

Find it within yourself *every single time* you see the media doing what it did in 2016.

1/
Democrats historically protest too little and too softly.

While Trump and Republicans “work the refs”; Dems quietly grumble.

Trump has managed to influence the coverage he gets by merely complaining loudly and incessantly without merit.

2/
These next three weeks are going to be a test.

How much has the media learned since 2016?

How vigorously and forcefully are we going to agitate against any repeat of those mistakes?

3/
The media is already starting to slide into helping to merchandise the NY Post “but his emails” propaganda.

Unleash your angry demands for better. Hold back no venom. Err on the side of being harshly insistent.

We DEMAND the media not fail us again or we invite utter disaster.
No matter how much you hate being harsh, direct, caustic or confrontational, it is what is demanded of you right now.

We have been bad at this. We cannot be bad at it now.

Take zero shit from outlets we need to do better than they did in 2016

Let no offense pass unaddressed.
Seriously, I am very worried that the media has learned too little from a 2016 when it willfully relegated itself to the role of propaganda launderer for foreign interference.

And I am worried we have not accepted that our role is to be as militant and confrontational...
...as it takes to encourage, cajole, armtwist or force the media to not crushingly failing us again.

Three weeks. Ratchet your policing of the media up to an 11.

We can all be buddies again when the country has been saved from burning down.

And not a minute before.
