I know #WorldMentalHealthDay was a few days ago, but let me tell you about what I'm going through right now.

A thread.
In March, during COVID, I was laid off. I had to go to the labor bureau and apply for welfare - for the first time in my life.

The hardest thing I've ever had to do.
I've been commentating simracing for 13 years, really been getting into it on the F1 games since 2018. I've usually had 2-3 races per week, sometimes 4, for the last year and a half.

I tried to keep myself as busy as possible, because I want to make a living off of this.
I've also started streaming again in July. Because I was out of a job, I needed something else to do. So I decided to pick Twitch back up. It's been going fantastically, but it's a lot of work.
Over the last couple of weeks, I've started to feel burnt out. I wasn't looking forward to my commentaries anymore. It felt like a chore instead of something I'm looking forward to.
I've also recently been rejected from a job I really would've liked. With Germany starting to open up again, I thought that was my opportunity for a change. Well, it was someone's, but not mine.
Yesterday then, when I was preparing for my stream, my laptop and my internet both started acting funky. My connection got worse, and my laptop slowed down significantly, leading to me having to cancel stream.
Thankfully, I was able to fix the issues with both laptop and internet connection, but I was worried about having to buy a new PC without having the money for it. Such is life on welfare. It sucks.
What I'm saying is: I desperately need a break. So I've decided that I will be stepping down from @OneHubRacing commentary after tonight's race. I will also be stepping down from doing the @fhkleague streams, effective immediately.
I will, however, remain with @PlayStation_GL until the end of this season, at which point I will make an assessment about whether I return for Season 27.

I want to end this thread by saying: take care of your mental health. Take care of your mind, because you only have that one!
