What's Happening In Thailand: A Very Important Thread
Protests against the government and the monarchy of Thailand are happening every day. Protestors are charged under arrest just because they are speaking about their own opinion on the government/monarchy. (1)
This morning, Thailand's prime minister addressed the situation and blamed all of the protestors even though the chaos that happened two days ago were caused by soldiers/government's people and the protestors were unarmed. (2)
He knew that a lot of Thai people wanted him out because he never did anything beneficial to the country and also uses people's tax money for his own goods, he said that “he wouldn't quit being the prime minister” even though people are pressuring him to quit. (3)
Thailand's government also choose to ignore petitions that are signed by Thais to change the constitutional law, and now there's also a petition for Thais to declare King Vajiralonkorn as a persona non grata which a lot of people are participating in. (4)
Thailand's government had blocked said petition and even arrest people who dares to say their “bad” opinion about the king. The protestors leaders and even “minors” are arrested due to criticizing the government/monarchy. (5)

Some protestors are even sexually harassed during the protests by the police officers. There was also a case where a man took pictures of girl students under their skirts and the protestors need to warn themselves. (6)
But a lot of people also said that the protests are actually very safe and peaceful. However, the way Thailand's government uses to deal with the protest is NOT peaceful at all. Officers were using violence to arrest protestors and even blocked certain roads. (7)
They placed barriers so that the protestors can't march through certain streets even though the protestors were peaceful and unarmed. But on the 14th of October, protestors were at the Ratchadamnoen Road when suddenly the queen's car drove through the crowd of protestors. (8)
They were shouting at the car, saying “our taxes” because Thai people's taxes were also sent to the monarchy. The government, of course, stated that the protestors were harming the queen even though it was her that went through the crowd. (9)
Around 5:30am of the next day (15th October), police were pushing off protestors as they were ordered by the prime minister to clear the area. Protestors were standing in the road or even an intersection and they were pushed despite having buses and trains running. (10)
In the evening, protestors gathered at the Ratchaprasong Intersection to protest again. This time, there was no leaders, there were only people that hope for a better future. Protestors raised three fingers upwards, shouting “ไอเหี้ยตู่” (Fuck you Prayuth). (11)
All of said events leads to the prime minister's conference this morning, he spoke very badly about the protestors and refused to quit his job. (The prime minister's name is Prayuth) A lot of people were angry about his attitude and his statement. (12)
So, I am spreading this information with hope that international people will understand about the current situation and help Thai people to reclaim our democracy. This isn't about politics anymore, we just want a better life and a better economy. (13)
tw // violence
Right now, police in Thailand are using gases, bullets, and high-pressure water jet against the protestors. I would like to inform all of my followers about police brutality in Thailand. Please don't let them have a place in this society. We don't support them.
During this evening, protestors have been missing during the protest. It is possible that police officers took them away. A STUDENT was also taken away by the police, and they don't seem to care about ethics or morals anymore. (14)
