Lagos looks serious.
The Governors forum recommendations look serious.
State level action is the way to go.

BUT

All States do not have the capacity to implement these actions in an efficient or fair way. Some states will NOT fund it
Cross River State for example...
thread https://twitter.com/jidesanwoolu/status/1316822944136531968
Cross River State that has been unable to swear in a Chief Judge because she is a woman whom they claim is a security threat because she is from Akwa Ibom and ONLY married to a Cross River man does not have the capacity to do this.
I will not go into details of how....
Cult ridden things are here and how tightly networked they are.
Some victims will not feel its safe to come forward in this place.
There has to be some sort of oversight or lens on the process that exposes it. Once attention shifts from protests and it's already happenjng
States that are not Lagos or Kaduna or Rivers will go back to not blipping on social media.

I would suggest people work out this major bug so foot in the door to shake the police institution yields lasting results.

Cross River State and many others...
Will not do these things
talk about the capacity of your state to implement these things. Me I don talk my own.
Understanding weakness will help design to overcome it and keep some process local

Tenk you

@eyooekpo @martobono @fkabudu @feminist_co @KebeIkpi
Twitter does not have enough space for me to explain how things work in this state. or dont work.
or go side by side. or are intertwined.
and now I have to paste this on Facebook or my kparapko groups on WhatsApp cos we aren't plenty here
I have some suggestions but will I would like others to contribute thiers on this thread. I can already see my Governor converting this into an olimpotically meristiamized viral op replete with crying and no action and even worse
Thanks

this is good in addition to the Abuja one. But better if they let people report all police brutality incidents not just SARS https://twitter.com/jidesanwoolu/status/1316815509753651202?s=19
Number 5 and 7 are very important.
And totally subjected to the capacity of the state in question to implement.

People in those states have to figure out how it wont be reversed into intimidation and in the case of muber 7 looting.
