AWAKE, in the wings shortfilm basically highlights on Jin both in reality and BU
AWAKE doesn't have a very happy vibe to it because this also gives us an insight to how Jin has struggled and treated- which also might have left an impression on him.

AWAKE is the WINGS SHORT FILM #7 based on Herman Hesse's book: Demian.
but i felt the song also closely resembles what the member might have gone through in his life as a singer.

kim seokjin, has been put down a lot of times because of many reasons. but amidst all these, in his heart, his happy soul tells his tormented soul that he believes he can climb every mountain in this drastic land, "he can achieve everything, because this is something he can do"
+ in his heart he feels the eternal desire to remain where he is, to dream more- to aim higher than he does even when a part of him asks him to give up. two minds working together.
+ one asking him to buck up and tie his shoes for he has a long way to go and struggle. the other is asking him to give up, life would be peaceful then.

SJ didn't know singing or dancing previously, for he majored in acting, when he joined BH- ngl this song is very special to me because i had faces similar allegations about my voice and was compelled to leave music, something which I had learnt for 10 years.
+ the only diff. is that SJ didn't give up. Awake, instigates a fire in the hearts of people like me or even you who have been constantly tormented and demoralised by people.
+ in AWAKE you're asked to Wake up. Wake up and sit, without crying and struggle because even mountaineers struggled to reach the top to fetch the most beautiful flower. if you don't struggle, that flower is far beyond your reach.
+ its your and his truth. you'll be looked down upon by a lot of people who'll give u cuts nd wounds nd bruises all over your bodies ...

+U need too fight, accepting the truth that you life ain't any highway. remember, driving in a highway is always simple- you don't understand the speed and regulations most of the time but when you drive on a crooked road, you get to know many essential things-

+in the AWAKE short film, there were six lily petals that SJ had placed on the floor, but him burning those petals have no relation with my interpretation because those are related to the original Demian theory, on which WINGs is based.
+this road is dark and long with thorns and he has to keep walking. SJ has spent happy times with the six members (the 6 flower petals). The happy times cannot recognize this Jin who is walking like a nomad in this unending dark desert named struggle, and wonder if he's really ok
+ Seokjin is the oldest member, oldest the pillar to everything. tough times make everyone go through terrible existential crisis. (the center of the six petals)
+he is afraid to move, afraid to spread his wings, afraid to run because with each step the bruises and scar might attack him again. SJ absorbs all the pain of both the member's and his own, he doesn't let the member's feel any bit of discomfort under his loving shade.
+just like the moon that never lets the earth remain dark in its presence. SJ holds the six petals tightly in his arms, shielding them from every attack and taking all pains on himself. he knows the road is long n tiresome n dark, he keeps on walking on the road of struggle.
+he protects the members like his own body parts and keeps them away from every adversity flung at them. he takes in all the pain, but inside he is sad. he maybe be smiling and making you smile - but even that person has a melancholy side, which isn't shown to a lot.
