I think it’s not that people aren’t happy, it’s just that they forgot what happiness is. Online does not help with this (thread)
We spend too much time online and talking to people. But we never actually interact or do anything in person (very often). We spend too much of our time expressing all of our emotions through text and it becomes very tiring.
We loose the ability to actually feel that emotion because we express it all through text.
People become angry or offended because tone (or other emotion) is lost or difficult to express through text.
Our online person holds all of our emotion and is now the part of our brain that can express it.
Ever since I’ve started using social media I’ve been more and more unable to have emotion. I’ve lost it all. I’ve been more separated from real life and it’s miserable. Literally my physical existence is almost useless because my real self is on the internet.
I’m trying to point out that you need to get off your devices and do something in the real world. Regain the part of your brain for emotions. Go make some friends in the real world. I’m not saying people should not have friends online or use it as a way to communicate
But it’s time we [humans] come back to reality and get out of the dark depths of the internet.
Go play with some dirt and sticks. Trust me, making muddy rocks and throwing them over the fence into the neighbors yard is fun. I miss those times and I’m going to recreate them
Note: not the throwing rocks.

The internet was never a place for me, and is no place for you either. Use it with care and responsibility. Now stop reading this and go play outside. Go plan a day to hang out with some friends.
I might add more to this thread. But until then, thank you for reading.
