In times like these, many people might find their grand goals & plans go for a toss. It can be frustrating.
Its important hence to have tiny, minuscule targets - it might not appear to fit in ur grand plan but small personal goals & work relentlessly towards achieving them 1/n
These small goals could be in anything - a learning goal, a running goal, a cycling goal, a weight loss goal, a skills goal.

But it should be something that you have not been able to achieve earlier, something that stretches you beyond what you perceive to be your limitation 2/n
Important that this personal goal matters only to you. It should neither be defined by what you wants others to think of you nor one that you compare against someone else's goal.
Remember, your goal of being able to run mile is as important as a marathoners to du a sub 3 hrs
3/n
Once you have the goal set, start taking baby steps towards meeting it.
U will find that typically ur first attempt is pathetic. After a few tries it improved markedly, then gradually, occasionally slipping back before hitting a plateau.
A plateau of perceived limitation.
4/n
It is when you hit this plateau you realize that there is a gap of 15-20% between your defined goal and ur achievement thus far.
U know that it is not insurmountable
but incremental efforts sometimes dont work & that's when you need give urself a big push and make that leap
5/n
Crossing this new barrier does a few things
-The sense of achievement it brings has a positive trickling effect on other things in ur life
-That big plan that u felt had gone for a toss, gets a sense of purpose again, as u can apply learnings from this effort to stay oncourse
6/n
- Finally & hopefully, the effort that you put in achieving that small goal has become a habit. That new barrier you broke, now becomes a baseline for new milestones.
My friends @bvhk & @quatrainman can best explain the importance of forming habits in achieving goals in life
7/n
In summary, whenever something seems like it's a dead end, don't get bogged down. Just take a small detour and do some different things and feel happy about it.
When u've regained ur mojo and u are still up to it, your grand plans are always there to achieve
