read at your own risk

Chile suffered from a cold and cruel dictatorship from 1973 to 1990 where 228,456 people were exiled from the country, tortured, raped and murdered and an unknown number of people are still missing.
This dictatorship left a stain on Chile until today poor people are given less than the minimum basic human rights, such as education, health, dignity.
Chile has a drastic privatization problem where you have to pay for the most basic human rights, such as water, electricity, gas, education, health, etc.
Education
Public education in Chile is very bad, reaching a point where the schools are in such bad condition that they look like abandoned buildings.
To add the teachers in Chile are paid very poorly, to be specific almost the minimum salary that is 320,500 Chilean pesos or 398.58 dollars, and teachers in public schools are of very poor quality making public education unacceptable.
Health
Chilean health care is also privatized, public hospitals in Chile do not have resources, they do not have stretchers, surgeons, masks, etc. Hospitalized people sitting in chairs or lying on the floor.
Also public health is not something instantaneous, they put you on a waiting list, and not only for consultations but also that even if you are dying in the emergency room they can make you wait up to 12hrs
Water
Water in Chile like almost no other country in the world is private, that means that you have to pay to have drinking water, something that should be a basic human right.
Chilean Police
We are talking about the most corrupt establishment in the country, where the Chilean police eat from the hand of the rich and kill the poor (literally).
In October of last year, Chile mobilized massively against the government since we were fed up with the abuses, during this period there were many protests, and it was where police brutality was shown at its best.
Police shooting peaceful protesters with pellets or plastic bullets, leaving many blind in one eye because they shot in the face or even killing some protesters, hitting people on the street who had nothing to do with the protests, etc.
This is the basic thing that is happening, we have many internal problems too but that is a much longer issue that I am not so educated about.
I'll leave here below videos and links to things that happen in Chile, they will be in Spanish so sorry for those who dont speak spanish
