First clip comes from the first play of the game with RS Junior Josh Thompson ( @given__talent) laying down a big hit for a loss of yardage. Thompson had a couple big hits in this one as he continued his good start this season. Looking forward to see if he keeps it up...

Up next is this great run by Junior RB TJ Pledger ( @uno_tj) At the start of this play there is really no holes to hit but he squeaks through a tight opening and breaks it for a big run. Pledger finished the day with 131 yards on 22 carries and 2 TD’s, this kid is legit

This play is made by one of the biggest stars on the Texas defense in Joseph Ossai ( @joseph_ossai). Pursuit, pursuit, pursuit. That’s what jumps off the screen here. Ossai worked real hard to make this play and he saved a first down because of it. Real effort play...

Another big play from the Longhorns DB’s as CB BJ Foster ( @nofear_2) saves a touchdown with this big hit. Foster reads this play to perfection and waits to pursue until the perfect moment. This was a good play design by the Sooners, Foster just sniffed it out.

There’s that man Josh Thompson ( @given__talent) again. Like I said he had more then one big hit in this matchup and this was another. Like a hit stick in Madden he lays the OU receiver flat out on his back. Great explosiveness to the ball and technique by Thompson...

This isn’t the biggest flashy play of the game but it was so smooth I had to add it in. Sophomore WR Theo Wease Jr ( @_TheoWeaseJr) runs a perfect route and keeps the feet in for a catch. The release off the line, the footwork, the catch, it’s all there on this play.

To put it simply, Senior DT LaRon Stokes ( @Saint__LaRon) is a pocket pusher. This won’t end up on SportsCenter top 10 but it’s the exact play that can win you games. It’s the details folks. He gets a great jump off the line and pushes his way to the RB. Great play.

Another heads up play by the OU defense here with Safety Delarrin Turner-Yell ( @dtturner11). He sniffs out the RB’s route quickly, gets to him to cover, then pushes him out of the way once he sees Elhinger is running. A solid tackle and a forced fumble are the result.

This isn’t getting talked about but in my eyes it is the play of the whole game. Sophomore CB Chris Adimora ( @Ceewavvy1) is perfect in coverage here, and breaks up the pass too. If OU picks it up they likely get to run out the clock and win right here. Great coverage.

A trend in this thread is the details, this clip isn’t about Elhinger to me, it’s about Freshman RB Bijan Johnson making a phenomenal block that allows him to run for the first down. The details wins you games and this freshman running back did exactly that.

Lastly, it’s the game winning interception by Senior CB Tre Brown ( @T_Brown25). It’s an overthrow, yes, but Brown still makes a really good read here and follows Ehlinger’s eyes, that’s how he got this ball. It was a high scoring game, but there was still some great defense here.
