I’m tired of the fact that people are losing trust in what science is after people have been distorting it left and right for political agenda.

I’m tired of Sweden being hailed as some sort of success story for ‘natural herd immunity’ when in fact they not only let their elderly die in droves without medical care but their cases are rising again just like the UK. I’m tired of people using shitty statistics to minimise the real death rate.

I’m tired of people forgetting that compassion is a noble trait.

I’m tired of people refusing to wear a mask and making up bullshit exemptions because they think it’s a question of rights. It’s not. I’m tired of the misinformation that‘s led to many patients with conditions like asthma believe that they can’t wear a mask when in fact they can.

I’m tired of the fact that the UK government recommendations completely ignore aerosol transmission despite the fact we’ve know it’s occurring for months now.

I’m tired of the fact that the UK government didn’t get a working track and trace system up and running when we all ‘did our part’ and stayed at home in order to give them time to do so.

I’m tired of the fact that Boris says it’s apparently ‘our fault’ they we’re having to lock down again when it’s just deflection from the fact that the government fucked it.

I’m tired of both scientists and Joe-public using the pandemic to justify weight stigma and discrimination, when fat people have been deliberately denied care (leading to higher death rates) and socioeconomics is missing from all the data.

I’m tired of the fact that some doctors are refusing to acknowledge that long-COVID is a thing, and among those that do there are functional medicine charlatans like Hyman already claiming to have a solution for it, because who needs integrity in medicine anymore?

I’m tired of not being able to talk about the real harm that lockdowns can cause without people using that to claim that they should never be done and we should just ‘get on with our lives’ and aim for ‘herd immunity’.

I’m fucking tired.
