The art of persuasive communication

Writing to create an influence on another person takes a combination of:
Skill + Understanding

🌌 T H R E A D 🌌
1) Learn about your audience

Investigate your target or niche, so you can adapt to their needs
2) People don’t change their minds easily

Change requires a lot of energy, don't try to force it, it won't work
3) Put yourself in your audience’s shoes

What would you like to hear?

On which channel?

A what time?
4) Don’t tell readers they are stupid or wrong

Please don't (it also screams spam)
5) Emotions sway readers

Memory works better when it's combined with emotion, use that link
6) Identify what your readers see as

right or wrong,

just or unjust,

fair or unfair.
7) Find connections and commonalities with readers

Develop a "friendship" relation with your potential audience, make them feel comfortable
8) Don’t fake it: Stick to subject expertise and personal experiences

If you fake results people will find out.

Share real stories
9) Spice up your text

Use attention-grabbing words and experiences.

Apply the knowledge of SEO in your daily writing
10) Readers want details, not generalities

Get to-the-point information, go directly to proof your theory
11) People are “wired” for stories that are entertaining and informative

Grab attention and make your audience learn at the same time
12) Convincing content doesn’t depend on facts and figures, though they must be accurate

Give sufficient proof that relates to the point your are trying to make
13) Check, double-check and check again for accuracy, grammar and spelling

You don't want to make grammar mistakes. To avoid this issue you can use @Grammarly
14) Use plain language, and simplify technical terms

Keep it simple so a school student can understand
15) Omit words, phrases and sentences that slow your flow

If you can delete a word and still get to the point, do it.
"Sometimes facts can lodge in the brain and influence behavior for decades"

Always share valuable information, you never know when you will change someone else life for better. 🙌
