I mean kinda?

But it's also one of my fears.

"Biden is president, let's pretend police brutality, racism & disability justice is no big deal again!" https://twitter.com/joehagansays/status/1316820784623607810
Jesus would personally have to stand in front of the ballot box to stop me voting a straight Democratic ticket.

But the fear that

"things going back to normal"

includes a shift in the political climate away from the urgency of our issues is VERY real.
Can you blame us?

White people, you couldn't stay at the edge of Black turmoil for six weeks this summer. SIX WEEKS.

If it wasn't for the Zoomers & our indignation would racial justice even be a topic at all?
And yet neglecting this country's history of

inflicting racial trauma & fascism

is what will bring us full scale fascism if this Administration is reinstated.
I'm so tired of talking about it.

But I also know

the relationship between sparking conversation

in energized communities

among people connected to us

who are adjacent to power centers.
Those people are listening because we're all in trouble.

And man do I want us to be out of this particular trouble.

I also want a promise,

backed by something realer than rhetoric,

that we're going reform toward abolition.
We still need to #AbolishThePolice
and split that institution into community organizations

that *actually* do for the people what people THINK the police do

- make communities safer.
So I know the spirit of that thought is

"we won't have to worry about the hundreds of crimes a head of state and a political party should not be committing."

That utter nonsense woke some of you up.
Will you stay politically awake when you're safe and I'm still not?

As a Disabled Black Woman I wasn't in the clear when President Obama was in power.

But because of the ACA? At least I was alive.
Texas just legalized the ability of social workers to ignore me.

Someone will sue and they'll probably win-

but what happens to the people suffering and dying in the meantime?
Anyway. I want all of these asshats put out too.

Don't make the mistake of not caring about all the issues you've learned about.

We will end up back here. All oppression is connected.
