Shahzeb Khan zada is factually incorrect and intellectually dishonest -
@shazbkhanzdaGEO
Ref :
he talked abou wheat 2 million tonne shortfall - govt tried to reduced import levels during this time considering the covid scenario at play - this interllectual dishonesty is harmfull for the country - @shazbkhanzdaGEO
Flour mills as per shahzaib they didnt import during that time as well in june - notifiaction came on 21 july , and yet @shazbkhanzdaGEO didnt mention that sindh procured 1/3 of the wheat required for the year - where is that wheat - what a disgusting intellectual dishonesty
yes govt has been hard strapped on reducing imports , since the pandemic needed fiscal correction immediately. 100 million -200 million during the covid times would have been tough on the govt.
Pakistan food inflation is definately high but not mentioning the difference between sindh and punjab is clear cut intellectual dishonesty @shazbkhanzdaGEO kabhi sach bol kay geo
@shazbkhanzdaGEO you compared dollar food infaltion with PKR food inflation kudos kaha sir maaro main
there is no doubt govt has failed to cover bases , handled it properly especially the seasonal vegetable surge and wheat crisies - it could have been managed better but doing this intellectual dishonesty at prime time television is disgusting @shazbkhanzdaGEO knows what he did
For any one who will come to me later on asking what i think about inflation - i have done multiple threadss on it already but we have to be fair and honest - it is awefull for the common man but you cannt get away with factual irregularities at primetime @shazbkhanzdaGEO
this is my thread but i am not lying on prime time television - you could have easily used factual numbers and be intellectually honest @shazbkhanzdaGEO but you decided to be partial and made a story yourself . https://twitter.com/Sabbandkardo/status/1316071024840957953
Govt took a chance on delaying imports to reduce the pressure on rupees and support the govt initiatives and create a better economic look during covid . 200 - 300 million $ impact would have been massive in those times - creating positive CAB was important as well -
we can criticize the delay but fact remains sindh produced same wheat to last year sindh govt procured 1 /3 of wheat . which means the govt of sindh had enough wheat for sindh for 4 mnts. @shazbkhanzdaGEO @hyzaidi i pity your intellectual dishonesty https://twitter.com/Sabbandkardo/status/1313600732117889024
@shazbkhanzdaGEO even your analysis on global wheat prices is wrong as well
there are some dips - but only lucky traders get to trade on dips - Govt has still imported in an optimum range - yes could have been better managed for the masses but your analysis is flawed
For all those interested - go through my thread and then go through @shazbkhanzdaGEO program on 15 oct and then see how intellectual dishonesty shahzeb has shown- not even mentioning PBS numbers where Lahore has 860/20kg while karachi has 1500/20kg - disgusting
i would love @shazbkhanzdaGEO for once to do some factual job - you blunting out numbers in an intellectual dishonest way and a timeline - not corresponiding the impact of covid and import limitations
@shazbkhanzdaGEO EGYPT has been a constant wheat importer for years how dare you compare a wheat producing country like pakistan with egypt . this sort of disgusting intellectual dishonesty is unprecedented . Paksitan will first corelate its production - plan and then purchase
@shazbkhanzdaGEO also used jordan as well - jordan is also a constand wheat importer - bor they have running contracts on wheat procurement kia logic laatay ho aap
In comparision see Pakistans graph on wheat imports - its was ~0 from 2015 this is blatant intellectual dishonesty
@shazbkhanzdaGEO was not only sharing numbers - he was giving an analysis and when you do an analysis with time line your intellecutual dishonesties are aparent
1. Comparing dollar inflation to rupee knowing very well rupee fluctuation
2. comparing Annual importers like egypt and jordan with pak - oh bhai woh to har mahinay import kartay hai - they are always importing unlike pakistan
3. no mention of covid and why govt was trying to ensure CAB to be positive
4. Price mention is there but dips are not usually redeemed in these massive order - price are usually the avg- Dip pay bahut lucky traders hi kaam kartay hian , yet still price inc is in oct
5. No mention on why 1500/20kg in khi and 860/20 kg in lahore
Despite sindh being sufficient in wheat production and as per @murtazawahab1 he procured over 1.2 mTonnes of wheat i.e. 1/3of sindh wheat production. where is that wheat why is karachi wheat expensive than Peshawar and quetta who are not sufficient in wheat ?
6. Govt has delayed alot of PBS numbers can be used but shahzeb resorted to a flawed timeline , and put blame on decision making which i may agree with him but these are extra ordinary conidtion , pakistan needs to keep positiveCAB in the short term to ensure recovery
7. Sindh doesnt have a short fall why is wheat most expensive in sindh - can someone tell me please @shazbkhanzdaGEO
ref @murtazawahab1
Just right now @shazbkhanzdaGEO again was lying and @fawadchaudhry again couldn't counter him. This is disgusting from fawad ch. Tell him pbs numbers have a max and min as well.
Just right now @shazbkhanzdaGEO stopped @fawadchaudhry from speaking telling him he did survey and same like karachi lahore has expensive wehat - shahzeb either doesnt know or doesnt want to share - PBS gives min, and max prices for every city . @fawadchaudhry pls shut him up
@fawadchaudhry please tell @shazbkhanzdaGEO in karachi wheat is 1500 rs , lahore number is 860 as per PBS survey which is official metric for GOP
Hi @shazbkhanzdaGEO Pak spent 92m $ to import 392,246 tonnes of wheat in sep~ 234 $ per tonne which is ex Pakistan price , ab is pay bhi jhoota show mat karna khuda kay wastay
if you compare to last month july the price comes out 242$ which is higher than last month @shazbkhanzdaGEO ab si main bhi koi logic nikalo , bhai trade and transit cost are also included please sit down
now this would come at 40rs / kg plus milling so 60 rs / kg would be the expected price , for the importers to sustain a profitable margin they will try to market at 75/KG , so that is the issue govt has on how to ensure it is sold below or around 60/kg
