Questions for my brother, @ostrachan, that remain unanswered:

1. What does Dr. Strachan mean when he says design and order are “grounded in theistic ontology itself?”
2. Is the Son’s eternal submission to the Father an act of His will? If it is, how can Dr. Strachan claim that there is only one divine will?
3. If it is not an act of the Son’s will, does the Son of God eternally submit to this authority because of something intrinsic to, within, or about Himself? If it is, how can Dr. Strachan claim to affirm the homoousian?
4. If it is neither an act of the Son’s will nor a property or attribute unique to the Son, what are the grounds of the Son’s decision to eternally submit?
5. Were the three divine persons of the Godhead obligated to enter the pactum salutis?
6. Dr. Strachan claims this so-called “ontological order” does not imply the ontological inferiority of the Son. Why not?
7. Does Dr. Strachan affirm the doctrine of the eternal generation of the Son?
8. Does Dr. Strachan affirm the doctrine of inseparable operations? If he does, since submission is an eternal activity of the Son, are the Father and Son inextricably linked and involved in the Son’s functional subordination? Does the Father submit to Himself through the Son?
9. When Dr. Strachan says, “The Son is the Son because He submits to the Father’s will... There is no Holy Trinity without the order of authority and submission,” what does he mean?
10. Dr. Strachan has claimed that Jonathan Edwards, John Calvin, Carl F. H. Henry, Geerhardus Vos, J. I. Packer, Charles Hodge, Louis Berkhof, John Frame, A. H. Strong, and Robert Letham all affirmed ESS/EFS/ERAS. What evidence would he give to support this claim?
11. Does Dr. Strachan believe that affirming EFS is essential to “Christic manhood?”
12. What does Dr. Strachan mean when he says the Gospel has a “complementarian” shape?
