first we have this travesty. a most disrespectful production. i'm utterly disappointed in bbc. rampant homophobia, character assassination and a distasteful plot. -11/10
this is about it bc my knowledge is limited but I'm assuming most of the other ones set here are related to the witch hunts or guy fawkes.
Caroline:
Cromwell (1971?) is one of the best films I have seen; even with it's occasional romanticization and distortion of facts it is an amazing watch, with compelling characters and portrayal of emotions. 9.5/10
then there's more civil war stuff like the Devil's Whore and Killing a King which I need to watch
