It& #39;s not a form of fraud that is prosecutable, no. But the dishonesty offends people& #39;s moral sense & feels like a betrayal.

This is why the "if you don& #39;t like it just go somewhere else" is such a weak tea argument
It discounts the things that users value, treats our very reasonable expectations as stupid, makes a mockery of the time and effort people put into the platform based on those expectations
