Today is my birthday & I’m celebrating by giving to some of the state & federal candidates running to flip vulnerable GOP seats in Tennessee! Our state has a powerful Republican supermajority, & flipping just a few seats can make a world of difference. Join me in support below:
Virginia Couch @VoteVirginiaC is running for HD-18 (part of Knox County), where the Democrat came within 741 votes of winning in 2018. Brandon Thomas @Brandon4Tenn is running to represent HD-49 (Rutherford County), where the Democrat lost by just 5 points in 2018! If elected, he would be our state’s first openly gay legislator, so let’s make some history this year: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/thomas49
Andrea Bond Johnson @bondjohnson is running to represent HD-82 (Lauderdale, Crockett, & Haywood County), which was a long-time Democratic stronghold until 2018 & has potential to flip back this year. (I also think her campaign slogan is v clever) https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ABJ82

In the state senate, Oak Hill Mayor Heidi Campbell @campbelltn20 is running to represent SD-20 (part of Davidson County). As mayor, she balanced the budget and promises to bring her data-driven, compassionate approach to politics to the senate. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/campbelltn20

Also you might have noticed that all of these seats are really, REALLY gerrymandered, and if we elect some of these candidates Democrats will have a greater voice in making sure our districts are fairly drawn in 2021!
