I don't get a lot of legs on tweets (but do ok on retweets, HMMM), but here goes...a really short thread on the biggest vote in Illinois this year...

The FAIR TAX #fairtaxnow
This is not a Republican vs Democrat issue. This is a working class vs. millionaire issue. Any taxpayer in IL making less than $250k/yr will see their income tax bill go down. That is 97% of citizens.

If you vote your interests (regardless of party), you should vote for this
Retirement income is not taxed in IL and wouldn’t be under the Fair Tax. Opponents to the amendment have advertised that it would lead to a tax on retirement income. But nothing in the statute establishes rates for such an idea, which polls have shown is wildly unpopular.
Of Illinois’ 6.2 million individual tax filers, more than 6 million tax filers would see no increase or a decrease, according to data compiled by the Illinois Department of Revenue.
If you vote no on this amendment, you are basically voting yes on increasing your own taxes in 2021.

Help Illinois generate $6.5B in revenue without dipping into 97% of the residents pockets!
