1/ Of all the things the left surrendered to the right over the last 40 years, patriotism and morality are the two that have hurt us the most.

2/ The right doesn’t walk it’s talk but the left doesn’t talk it walk, too often sneering at issues of the heart with a condescension that has sent millions of people to the other side of the political divide.

3/ In truth, human beings are hardwired for connection to both tribe & moral sensibility. If you don’t give them a genuine version, they become easy prey for those who are peddling the counterfeit version. Patriotism and public morality are topics that should belong to all of us.
