I cannot stress this enough to my followers still in school: grades do not determine your worth, or your intelligence. Schools are designed to churn out little factory robot workers that will happily act as cogs in the machine of the economy. They are not designed to teach you.

Do not judge yourself based on your ability to preform in an enviroment that only cares about profiting off of your labor.

Schools do not care about you. They do not care about making you smart, helping you grow, or helping you succeed in any way that doesnt benefit capitalism.

Schools are designed for only a certain type of person to succeed, and if you arent that person, they will try and break you into being that person. This does nothing but make your ability to learn and grow so much harder. For many of us, school is an OBSTACLE to learning.

Instead of judging yourself based on grades or focusing on nothing but your grades, come at it from this angle: Do you actually comprehend the thing you're learning? Do you understand at least the concepts? What interests you about what you're learning? What bores you?

School makes us hate learning because its reduced to being forced to ingest huge amounts of information and memorize it all only long enough to pass a test and then never think about it again bc now you have to do it over and over

This breaks my heart because learning is, fundamentally, LIVING. Experiencing the world and letting that experience sink into your existence and your schema. We are the universe experiencing itself. School making us hate the search for information is an absolute TRAGEDY

Learning is one of the most amazing parts of being alive. Seeking out new information, new experiences, new opinions, new conversations. Nothing makes me feel more alive than actually letting new information sink in because I dont have to panic and make sure I pass a test

What im saying is that school fucking sucks, but learning is as fundamental to our existance as breathing. You do not need school to learn.

Also: this isnt anti teacher! So many teachers and school faculty are there because they know how bullshit the system is from experience and really are trying their best to help anyways. Other teachers are ableist cogs
