I really love the idea that the HxH characters are somehow still existing in some limbo universe, waiting for the series to pick up again so they can reprise their acting roles? Like just imagine Gon and Killua going back to school because their contract is suspended indefinitely

Leorio ACTUALLY being a med student and studying for his exams (he’s been studying in between filming), Kurapika being a quiet grad student who actually doesn’t like the limelight and doesn’t have social media so nobody really knows what he does when the cameras aren’t rolling

Illumi being a LEGIT model and he’s actually really cute and friendly irl, him, Hisoka and Chrollo are actually close irl and have a groupchat and hang out sometimes. Hisoka is an influencer, drag queen, Chrollo is a Twitch stream and he writes pretentious poetry on the side

Bisky has 2 actors, the “young” Bisky is actually only a few years older than KilluGon (she had to wear a wig because bleach is rough on the hair) & the older one is an award winning bodybuilder who‘s a huge fan of the series

Gon and Killua met at the auditions and immediately hit it off, they promised to keep in contact even if they didn’t make it into the show together, but SUPRRISE they did!!! (Also Gon and Alluka could be siblings irl and auditioned together bc I said so)

and it was SO hard on set bc Gon is super serious about filming and he always makes Killua laugh but when it’s time to film, Gon gets into character so easily and he leaves Killua all flustered and giggly. Gon was a child actor (explains his experience) and Killua, a child model

Hisoka is actually rly sweet on set, he’s the one who brings candy and sneaks snacks onto set for the younger ones, and he actually learned and practiced magic tricks for the role. He‘s the one who suggested that Hisoka would cinch his waist (& pad his hips, bc drag queen things)

Illumi has natural doe eyes but they had to make them even bigger for his role, with some CGI and some makeup. Fun fact: he was NOT wearing a wig. this is all hair care realness honey. Hisoka demands to know his hair secrets, Illumi refuses to reveal them.

Nobody knows Hisoka's genuine hair colour; he's a drag queen so he's constantly changing his hair colour, cycling through an entire ensemble of gaudy & gorgeous wigs. Illumi let slip once during an interview that he's a natural blonde, but Hisoka himself insists that he's ginger

Chrollo hides his script in his Bandit’s Secret for convenience. other than that, it’s blank except for poetry he writes between takes (& doodles from KilluGon) Sometimes he opens the book to find an unflattering doodle of Hisoka & they have to cut bc he laughs & ruins the take

When filming goes on late into the night and everyone‘s tired, Hisoka is the one who perks everyone up with a dance routine Illumi is the richest one & sometimes calls in food trucks for everyone to enjoy some snacks on set (the kids love it, especially when it’s ice cream)

the children are contractually obligated to attend lessons on set in between filming. Gon is used to it but Killua can’t be fussed and he’s the worst student. Zushi, Bisky, Alluka and Kalluto have to take classes too. Leorio actually helps them with their homework (bless him)
