When everyone is taking a break during the middle of shooting, Mew was sitting on the sofa and hymning a song, entertaining himself. And Gulf was sitting at another side, spacing out himself.

This is our first time collaborating with Chinese magazine.

Due to the pandemic, all the meetings and shooting works are completed through Zoom Live. The packed shooting schedule was done in the evening, both of them were finally got to relax a bit. “Yay!” Gulf whispered to Mew, with his smiley face.

In this unexpected year of 2020, it was a year full of turning points and opportunities to both Mew and Gulf. They both getting well-known during the most difficult time of this year, their stories had brought a great comfort to people who are confused and worried.

Although most of their off-line activities were postponed or even cancelled, but this is still a “year-of-improvement” to both of them.

“Since the first day we knew each other, I know that Mew likes music and singing.

This year, Mew has taken a big step in his music career, and all of us witnessed this.”

While speaking, Gulf turns his head to Mew and said, “I am happy for you na!”

In Mew’s perspective, Gulf is getting more and more professional in front of the cameras,

and the way he expresses his style is also better now: “When I first saw Gulf, I think that he is a photogenic person, and he is also good in posing when shooting photos. This year, Gulf has engaged in quite a lots of fashion photo shooting, and the outcome was great."

In the beginning of this year, Mew made himself a Year Plan, but most of the plans are going to be cancelled. He was supposed to try some interesting activities, including getting a diving license.

However, 2020 has passed half, he hasn’t got to start his diving class and didn’t even have time to travel. For Gulf, he doesn’t have any big goals, he just wants to get things done gradually, put his greatest effort in his career first. “I am working hard now!” Gulf said to us.

Their leisure time has become lesser and lesser now, but when we were talking about their favourite plants, they both shared us with their funny childhood memories.

Gulf’s favourite plant is mango tree. In his childhood memories, everyone has mango trees surrounding their house

everyone eats mango since they’re kids. During the mango season, kids will climb up the trees and pick the fruits. “It’s quite fun”, Gulf said.

Mew likes cactus, he planted cactuses with his uncle when he was a kid. His uncle was professional in planting cactus, all the cactus will be ended up in flowering under his care, no matter which type of the cactus is.

But the talented Mew realize that, he can’t make the cactus flowering no matter how he planted it. “The only thing I can do now is to buy a flowered cactus…” Mew said it regretfully.

REST has now become the biggest expectation of their family members to both of them. While feeling happy for him, Mew’s family members are also worry that Mew will get sick because of the packed schedules of his work and study, and also not getting enough time to rest.

Gulf’s family members fully support him in his career, but also hope him to get enough rest at the same time. Except the wrap party of TTTS, they were not having any time to celebrate and relax. So, both of them has found their new hobby – SLEEPING.

Besides this, Mew was also passionate in writing songs. All the things he experienced has become his inspiration, and he’s ready to put all this into his new songs.

M: Hello everyone and Nylon China I am Mew, I missed all of you so much.

G: I’m glad for coming to Nylon China, I am Gulf

Waanjais in China are looking forward to meeting both of you~ Can you guys tell us whether both of you will visit China and meet your fans here?

M: Yes, we have planned to meet everyone, but currently the plan has to be postponed. We hope that the situation will become better.

If both of you plan to visit China, what would you do here besides of meeting fans?

M: I want to go Cheng Du.

G: See the panda.

M: You can see panda here too.

G: And also meet our fans.

M: I want to go visit The Great Wall of China) and Heng Dian.

Waanjais in China are curious about this, do you guys have any favourite Chinese cuisines?

M: I like Ma-Po-Dou-Fu (spicy & sour tofu), but not too spicy

G: My favourite is Xiao-Long-Bao (steamed buns)

G: I also want to try Ma-La-Tang (spicy hot pot)

We heard that Gulf has show-off some Mandarin to P’Mew? And both of you also learnt some complimenting words in Mandarin from the translator?

G: Zhu-Zhu-Bao-Bei (piggy baby)

M: Thank you all, I’m happy that you like me, I hope we can meet soon

In Mew’s view, once he decided to do something, he will put his greatest effort to accomplish it, so that he doesn’t feel regret afterwards. Because of this, he was quite satisfied with all the things he done so far.

“I think that Gulf also doesn’t want me to change. I just want to become better than the yesterday me, so I don’t want to change anything.”

If Mew can talk to his past self, he would like to thank him for keep working hard all this time, thank him for not giving up.

“I would also like to tell my past self to love my family more”, because he has limited time to accompany his family.

And also, Mew would like to say “fighting” to his past self. “Because he will meet a lot of people who love him in the future.”

Since the filming of TTTS, Mew realize that the biggest change to him is that he had a lot of fans now as compared to before. Fans is the inspiration for Dr. Mew to proceed his music career. For those fans who love and support him, he wants to do something in returning their love

When making his first song <Season Of You>, Mew put his gratefulness towards his fans in this song. He is grateful for all their loves, all their support.

Maybe it’s because of Mew understands that his existence has a bigger meaning for many fans in this special period, so his returns to fans are way gentler:

“In this song, I want to tell all the fans that: I’m always here.”

Different from Mew, Gulf thinks that he is full of faults. In comparing to the “omnipotent” Mew, he thinks that there’re so much things that he needs to change.

“Let’s take singing as an example, I am not confident in my voice. During the singing class, my teacher told me that it would be better if I can raise my voice higher, but I can’t get the correct way of doing this.”

But same as Mew, Gulf thinks that Mew shouldn’t be caring of this. “I think that Mew should be quite satisfied with the current me hahaha! Mew was good at singing, so he will always help me when we are attending events in pair.”

If Gulf can talk to his past self, he would like to remind himself that, he should be more obedient.

“I should be a good boy to my parents, because I was quite naughty in the past. I want to remind myself not to be so naughty.”

Gulf is now more motivated in his career. Before shooting TTTS, Gulf was not count on his actor career. “But after shooting TTTS, the outcome was great, and my fans are also increasing day by day. This should be the biggest changes to me.”

Before shooting TTTS Season 2, Gulf was learning dance, and he also sighed that he has no time to practice dancing after done shooting the series. He was thinking of adding some dances in his new works, but he hasn’t thought of how to better present his dance.

Recently, Gulf has to work every day and he found that the time for him to practice dancing has been omitted by his works. So, he is keeping this topic (learn dancing) to the future.

The little surprises in their life are the reasons that making them smile.

For Gulf, the most unforgettable surprise that Mew bring him is their first Couple Fan Meeting.

“I was super excited. On that day, Mew privately sent me a video clip saying that he was unable to come for my birthday event because he needed to go to another place. But suddenly, he appeared with singing and holding a cake!”

For Mew, the birthday surprise that Gulf prepared for him is the moment that give him the endless aftertaste.

“I remember that day Gulf went to event at other state, but he secretly came to my house at night with a cake, a salmon cake.”

“That time was almost 11pm, almost the midnight.” Gulf said that.

“Yeah, my birthday was almost ended.” Mew giggled and said. And Gulf agreed that, “I almost can’t make it.”

Gulf thinks that Mew’s hand with ring on it was very handsome. “Mew’s veins are quite visible. Every time when he’s wearing a ring, I will always notice those veins when I look at his ring. It’s so handsome.”

Mew complimented Gulf when he’s wearing earpieces: “The ear clip, normally he doesn’t wear it. But he will wear it when shooting, it’s quite nice.”

Q&A

Q: Pick a summer food to describe each other?
M: Watermelon. It’s round.
G: Shaved ice. The ice is transparent, and it can change its shape and flavour according to your taste. Just like Mew, he can do everything.

Q: What is the most romantic season in your opinion?
M: The rainy season. I like it when two people holding the same umbrella when it’s raining.
G: Winter. In the Winter’s night, wearing an earphone, standing in the corridor, listening to a song,

even just starring at the night sky is way better than Summer. Because the weather is more comfortable.

Q: What private things will you share with each other?
M: Share Chopper. I feel happy when I’m along with Chopper. So when Gulf is feeling stressed, I will bring Chopper to him.
G: Football shoes. When I invite Mew to play football with me, he doesn’t has one.

Q: When you are preparing for the crying scene, what will you think of?
M: Putting myself into the character, feeling the same thing with him, imagine the things he is experiencing.

If the character I acted is not getting a good outcome of what I expected, I will be frustrated, disappointed or even crying.

G: Yes, Mew has said all the theories. But for me I will add an extra thing, the lines. Because some lines are touching, it helps when triggering the emotions.

Q: We saw some fans are asking these 2 questions on internet, one for Mew, one for Gulf. For Mew, why is Gulf always bringing a blue blanket?
M: Gulf scares of coldness, so he’s bringing this blue blanket along with him. On the car or in the air-conditioned room, he’ll feels cold

Q: And for Gulf, why is Mew loving those cute and colourful socks? How many pairs does he has?
G: If you’re asking me of how many pairs he has... a lot. Because he’s wearing different pairs of socks every time I saw him. But I like the Chupa Chups socks the most, it’s stylish.

Gulf’ monologue

I feel like I have worked in this industry while studying for quite some times. Since I was in my Junior 3, I spent around 7 to 8 years in engaging in this job.

But I started fully work as an actor from last year. Actually I never dreamt of being called Idol by peoples, I just wanted to do my best in my career.

I think that “being an Idol” is not changing me much. Because until this stage, my life is still very normal and peaceful. The only thing I want to change is to become more matured and more responsible in doing my job.

If you’re asking me what else I want to accomplish…… I want to engage in a comedy movie hahaha! I’m always concerning about the movies of some big companies, and I wanted to engage in a movie since I was young. Besides, I also want to bring more positive power to my fans.

Sometimes when I saw people comments in the tweet that, even they’re tired from today’s work, they will be motivated again when they saw me and Mew’s photos. I am honoured of being able to bring motivation to peoples.

Mew’s monologue

I never thought that I can get all these achievements today. But I dreamt that, if I become famous in one day, I want to be a public speaker, I think that is quite suitable for me.

My thought is, if people are talented in some aspect, or they want to do the things they are good with, and the things is good for the society, then go for it.

Because I am older, so my experience might be different from Gulf. My life experiences could be an example for everyone, to let everyone gets more references of “be a better self through improving themselves”.

My fans always tell me that because of the words I said, they are motivated, get good results, get awarded, or success in job interviews. I was happy when I’m hearing this. Even my failure, if it does act as a reference to people, I will also happy.

I would also like to try in shooting movie. I want to try Western movie, want to know that what would it be like. Want to know their way of working, their jobs and their way of acting. I want to try it so bad.

If I can bring some inspiration to my fans, I hope it is related to “hardworking”. I think that, hard work pays off. Once we have a clear goal, ready to learn new things, to become more excellent than yesterday, then we will reach our goals in one day.

Mew

If I’m not an actor, I would want to be a teacher in university. To engaged in academic and teaching students. I’ve seen many types of teachers, some are good, some are not.

We all know that every children is different, and no one teacher’s way of teaching is suitable for every children. If I am the teacher, I need to know how to teach students in accordance with their aptitude.

If Gulf is not an actor, I think that he would be a football player for the country. He told me that this is his dream. If it can be realized, he will be very happy. Every time when I see he’s doing sports, he is really happy. I think that this job fits him well.

Autumn is coming soon, if I have to prepare a thing for Gulf, it would be socks. Because he’s afraid of coldness.

After 10 years, the things I want to tell Gulf is still the same. I want to tell him that: it’s nice to meet you. If we’re not knowing each other because of shooting TTTS, and if the outcome is not good as today, then it would not be so wonderful like now. Thank you.

Gulf

If I’m not an actor, I would be a sport reporter. Because I like sports since high school, and I also concern about sports news, even for now. I already have some working experiences, plus the major I study in university, I think that this job fits me well.

If Mew is not an actor, I think he would be a guitar player. Everyone saw the actor Mew and the singer Mew, but imagine if he’s going to form a band and become a top guitar player, it will be very cool.

Autumn is coming soon, Mew already has winter coat, so I’ll get him green tea sachets. He can brew it by himself, it can keep his body warm.

After 10 years, I think I would still be encouraging Mew. I believe that even after 10 years, I am still his Nong. I will always encourage him, staying by his side. We can face every problems together.

Season on the Road

If we are able to travel together, Gulf will choose climbing a mountain in Winter. He likes Winter’s mountain.

“Especially the views on the top of the mountain in Winter. Full of clouds and mists, so beautiful!”

Mew thinks on this question for a while, and suddenly promoting his song: “I will choose every season <Season Of You>, hahahaha!”

That was so sudden.

If you can only bring 3 things with you to spend the rest of your life on an isolated island, Gulf will choose to bring a boat, some rice and crispy pork: “Then we have rice.”

Mew decided to bring a chicken, or 2, then they can have eggs every day, or even chicken meat to eat. “And also the water filter for us to turn the sea water into drinkable water.”

The 2 big boys, besides of the point of getting meat, none of them was thinking to bring some vegtables or fruits, not to mention the other daily essentials.

But, the answer... What we asked is “spending the rest of your life”, not "spending the rest of your life together” na!

But before they’re isolated on the island, they want to held a Fan Meeting. Although they don’t have other cooperated works except some lives or events. But Mew and Gulf wanted to meet their fans together. “We still owe our fans a Fan Meeting, for many countries!” Mew said.

“A lot. Many places.” Gulf agreed that.

Good brothers not always sticking to each to other.

When feeling upset and lonely, they both choose to talk to themselves.

Gulf said: “we need to think about why those tragic things happened, why is it become like this.”

Mew answered in almost the same way: “I will think of myself first. And if we are rational enough, that will be easier for us to solve many of the internal and external problems.”

Grow as we go.

“Grow” is a non-stoping status.

Taking care of each other with tolerance and accompany.
