Many call towards tolerance of other faiths/sects under the guise of 'unity'.

In actual fact the unification of The Ummah requires unifying solely under The Qurān & Sunnah.

Allah says:

'Hold on firm to the rope of Allah, together & do not be divided' [3:103]

The Scholars of Ahadīth have highlighted narrations which elaborate on 'rope of Allah' - They state this is The Qurān

The Qurān also calls towards the obedience of The Messenger and His Sunnah

This alone breaks the belief of being tolerant towards other faiths & sects.

Unity in Islam means unifying with people under The Qurān & Sunnah. Not with those who simply identify as a Muslim but are drowning in innovations, kufr and liberalism. If anything The Muslims are to unite against this darkness.

Yes, it is our duty to help, educate and be a means of good for these people. All should be done in accordance to The Qurān & Sunnah, which includes having the character and mannerism of The greatest of all men, Muhammad ﷺ.

The first steps required to be successful in unifying with the people of truth, is to study and learn The Qurān and Sunnah.

May Allah ﷻ help us all in acquiring such a feat.
