It’s becoming increasingly clear that I can’t return to MY HOME in JAPAN until April 2021. 16 years mean nothing.

I have 7 days’ clothes in America. All my earthly belongings are in TOKYO. I’ve been paying rent/utilities for all of that time.

JAPAN won’t even let me return to clean up my apartment and take all of me belongings elsewhere.

I’ve spent 16 years of my life loving and promoting this country and its history and culture. I haven’t given up on Japan, but it doesn’t care about me.

16 years of trying hard can make your life seem useless.
What the hell have I been working for these 16 (now 17) years?

Japan and the gaijin-service-complex sucked before, but now they look worse than ever.
