I actually did write a story on display technologies. Then LG Display contacted me and offered an interview with the CEO. "But only if you can place the article on CNN or somewhere prestigious!" they said. After getting interest from editors, LG did a "bait and switch" to the CTO

I interviewed the top brass. The story fell apart because it had no meat, no narrative -- just corporate sloganeering. "LG is deeply offended!" was the message I got for not publishing the story because the material was so terrible.
