aave. african american vernacular english. it's not STAN OR GAY slang. it's cultural appropriation. why am i talking about this? i've been seeing the big accounts on mcyttwt speaking aave and it started pissing me off only now.

why am i directing this tweet at white/non-black gays?
i've seen waaaay too many non-blacks use aave in such a wrong way. it pisses me off, even if i am not black.
often, non-blacks start using aave to sound "tough" and when black people start using it? "ugh speak properly tf"

i've ALSO been hearing it a lot in among us videos. very annoying.
using a blaccent is never fine when you're a white/non-black man/woman. though if you grew up somewhere where the most dominant race was black, and if you grew up using a blaccent, it's fine. (acc to my sources)

using aave is cultural appropriation, as i've mentioned, how so? like the n-slur, it has much history. people have mocked black people for the way they speak and so they created a way for them to understand each other. aave. they've been using it since the very start and it must
be so confusing and surprising to see all their words starting to trend. aave has structure and rules, too. do not even try to repeat words over and over and over again. do not practice aave. literally just stop trying to be "ghetto" man. and if you even dare try to fight me +
saying "but ___ was created by the gays!" no. i will find proof and i will gladly fight with you. do not fucking appropriate aave.
i'm sorry if i missed anything + if this doesn't make any sense, my 15 new assignments are literally exhausting me so uuuh
