Slovenia news (it’s a long one)

Yesterday, the U21 team advised that they would refuse to play until U21 manager Primoz Gliha was removed from post. Today, there’s the reasons why...
1 - Personal insults from Gliha to players without any provocation
2 - Going into training sessions without warming players up
3 - Not conducting any opposition analysis
4 - Banning players from sleeping on transport to away trips
5 - Banning goal celebrations...
6 - Having just some random turn up and lead the pre-match warm up vs Italy
7 - Making players play vs Hungary without having eaten since breakfast
8 - Banning mobiles and TV and placing a curfew on screen use
9 - Banning players from sleeping with the door shut...
10 - Having universal keys so that if a door is shut while sleeping, Gliha just barged in and checked
11 - Banning board and card games unless the players were playing for money (that one’s my favourite complaint)
12 - After two players and a back room staff member tested...
...positive for COVID, then having a large piss-up for the back room team, delayed the team announcement from being hungover and then had the team announcement as a drinks reception
13 - On latest duty, on banning phones, players agreed amongst each other not to hand them...
...over. At 23:15, Gliha let himself into the room of captain Jan Mlakar and told him and his room-mate Jakob Novak that they were being sent home. Mlakar was escorted off the premises and forced to pay his own bill. Players then went on strike demanding new disciplinary rules...
Gliha ignored this and players sent a letter detailing all of this to the Slovenian FA and went public. Currently, Gliha is still in post but given Slovenia host U21 Euros next year, this issue will need nipping in the bud pretty quickly to avoid large scale embarrassment.
