Since opening at the end of August we've done everything we can and more to make our bar a safe environment for our staff and customers.

We've paid out 000s in fees for musicians, most of whom hadn't earned anything since March.

We've done everything above board.

We have a safe and viable business. The government should be celebrating what we've done as a new company in the face of a pandemic and recession.

But as crisp aren't classed as a substantial meal we must now close for an indefinite period of time.

We all agree the 66% pay on the new furlough isn't good enough. But neither is 0%. And that's what our great staff are in line for.

The government cut off date is prior to September payroll meaning they won't qualify.

We'll support where we can but with no exit plan out

brilliant staff to potentially soon adding to unemployment numbers and the ever growing list of individuals who'll fall through the cracks of the shoddy support net.

It's gut wrenching.
