Dear IGP @policeng, Sir, I tweet ( on behalf of the Public Interest Lawyers League, PILL) as Attorney to the Iloanyas, whose son, Chijioke, was murdered by Rtrd CSP Nwafor in 2012. Nwafor has admitted the murder, while lying about the circumstances of Chijioke's arrest.

On 21 August 2020, I wrote a petition to you, which was served on your office and stamped "received" on 25 August 2020. Similar petition was served on the National Human Rights Commission. See attached

At your office, officers who received the petition told our lawyer that the petition would only be pushed to your desk if he paid N10,000. The lawyer asked for receipt of payment, which the officer refused to provide.

The National Human Rights Commission has since acknowledged our petition (see attached) ; but your office has kept silence, highlighting the culture of cover up of extra-judicial killings at the highest level- your office.

We've the legal option of filing the writ of mandamus which will compel you as the Chief Law Enforcement Agent in Nigeria to investigate the extra-judicial killing of Chijioke Iloanya and other 50 Nigerians whose petitions we are currently working on

Sir, you have a duty under the law to investigate the killings and compel CSP Nwafor who's presently provided cover by Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State. You can't abdicate and or neglect to discharge that duty, Sir.

CSP Nwafor and those who have provided him cover as a fugitive from law need to be arrested and made to account for their actions. This will show that you're responsive to the demands of youths who occupy our streets.

On our part as Attorneys to the Iloanyas and Onyemenes, we shall continue to use the courts and other legal frameworks to ensure you ACT right. CSP Nwafor will not go scot- free. Take our words to the bank; they are legal tenders, Sir.
