In that stage of editing where I read a draft and I can see exactly where I need to fix it but I don't have the brain cells currently to actually fix it
Sigh. I might just start drafting the last chap and come back to this bc I can't this scene is so fucking hard to get right :'((
Me: breezes through basically 70k words of almost exclusively davenzi interaction (albeit with a significant cameo from [redacted])
Also me: completely flounders when I have to write a scene involving literally anyone else shdjdjdjd
I actually think it would be okay to come back bc I have the structure and the direction of the scene down and I don't think the changes I want to make would really change the effect it would have on the ending, like the general trajectory of the scene I'm okay with
It's making it all less exposition dumpy and more natural sounding and organic feeling, like the building blocks are there but the style really needs to be polished, which is HARD
Editing is hard =[ would if I could just share the parts of this I'm actually proud of and say fuck you to the rest lol
Although rereading this thread it's hilarious that I used the term "breeze through" to describe a writing process that has taken me over a year (that I haven't even finished yet)
