Just thought I'd make a short-ish thread about this:
Apparently, YouTube is starting to recommend an upload of a series of albums called "Everywhere at the End of Time." PLEASE USE CAUTION BEFORE CLICKING ON IT AS IT IS INCREDIBLY EERY, INTENSE, AND DISORIENTING!

For those who are curious, Everywhere at the End of Time is a series of six experimental noise albums by Leeland James Kirby, under the name The Caretaker. They are meant to be auditory representations of a person's mental decline due to Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.

I stumbled upon this album randomly one day and listened to it out of curiosity. The first two albums aren't too terribly unnerving, but by album 3, things start to take a nose dive in quality and coherency? Album 6 is mostly silence with occasional noises.

While I found the experience and subject matter interesting, I understand many people find the topic of Dementia and the audio distortion unnerving and even triggering. So, if you see the thumbnail, PLEASE EITHER STAY AWAY OR USE EXTREME CAUTION BEFORE CLICKING ON IT!

And yeah, if people are gonna make stuff like this for artistic purposes, The least anyone can do is put content warnings before the starts of videos and albums before accidentally traumatizing unsuspecting people. aint that hard.

just be careful. end of thread
