But The Washington Post deciding not to isn’t abridging my free speech, it’s them exercising their free speech.

The fact that I have strong feelings about the decision doesn’t change that.
Now you could say “okay, it’s a natural monopoly, it needs to be regulated as such.”

That’s how we treat network TV and especially how we treated it in the pre-cable era. But in practice that meant *more constrained speech* so as to avoid bothering people.
At any rate as a veteran of the “Obama wants to bring back the Fairness Doctrine” wars of 2009, I feel like it’s raining on my wedding day hearing this stuff from conservatives.
