This is what the overwhelming majority of hitting prep looks like for the hitters I work with. The only goal is to feel athletic, fast, and smooth. 99% the hitters I work with go straight from this to really challenging machine or plyo work without tee work or front toss.
I’ll say it again, I’m not anti-tee or front toss, but I think the narrative of progressing from tee➡️front toss➡️bp is incredibly outdated, inefficient, and not ideal for most hitters. If that’s what allows you to rake be my guest, but most hitters don’t rake.
I highly recommend spending the large majority your time competing and challenging yourself, not building a false sense of confidence hitting a stationary ball or one that’s moving slowly.
