Sorry Jack, your my mate & Ive ignored the other tweets but #AHPsDay isn’t about “token flag waving when there is more important shit to sort” it’s about a community people belong to celebrating what they love about it on one day. A bit like Pride Day. And yes we are proud of it! https://twitter.com/jackachew/status/1316446806151135235
There is a lot of us proud to be physios/dietitians/OTs/SLTs/Paramedics/ODPs/Radiographers etc our professions but are also proud to part of the AHP community. Now more than ever, a day to celebrate, recognise, acknowledge what we achieve as a collective then what’s the issue?
Finally! Our AHP colleagues in the Arts, Drama & Music are small in number but powerful in roles & many are integrated into wider AHP teams. Same for Prosthetists & Orthotists who work as part as MDTs & are valued as professionals but also as AHPs, maybe you just haven’t seen it?
