The silliest responses here are asking the classic, “What about sex offenders?”

I didn’t stutter: ALL people with criminal records. They went through the criminal legal system already. Making it impossible for them to find a place to live is irrational and inhumane.

I’ve survived sexual assault (and was later coerced into publicly acknowledging that I was sexually assaulted). The man who assaulted me (and others) was hardly held accountable, years afterward. Never faced criminal charges. And still: What good would it do to make him homeless?
