What absolute fuckery is this? There is no shortage of theatre people with MFAs and PhDs who have this subject knowledge. I’d be furious if I was a student taking a theatre class and it was taught by someone with no clue about it. These profs should have declined these classes

My capacity for tiredness of people with no theatre training or experience at all - at the time they gain power and authority in theatre and performance - is endless. I am an infinite well of exhaustion from literature degree holders running this industry

Just because you can read and interpret a script on the page doesn’t mean you have the craft and technical skill to bring it to life
