So this seems like as good a time as any to show off the rest of the old cigarette cards I found in a box of my grandpa's stuff from when he was a kid.
Most of the stuff in the cigar box was normal (marbles, lead soldiers, penknife), some of it was inexplicable (a Spanish war medal from 1860?) but this is what's most likely to be of interest to people. He had a full set of the Allen & Ginter's cards.
Not the complete World's Champions set. Just the #blaseball players, I mean.
Here's Cornelius Games. I showed this one the other day, but here he is again, to start off the thread. @CHSSTFans #blaseball
Jessica Telephone. I feel like her "I have had enough of this bullshit" expression still sees as much use today as it did in 1887. @philly_pies #blaseball
Here's York Silk. Great mustache. I guess he has kind of a Benjamin Buttons thing going on? Or something? Who can say? @hifridays #blaseball
Yazmin Mason had a real rollercoaster of a career. Her story is possibly the biggest bummer in blaseball, next to Workman Gloom. RIV. @hades_tigers #blaseball
Axel Trololol, back when he played for the Firefighters. Who's gonna make a man with an arm cannon put on a shirt? Nobody. (probably a fire hazard anyway) @ChiBlaseball #blaseball
Knight Urlacher knows there's some fashions that never go out of style. (Did he spell his name differently then, or did A&G mess it up? Hell if I know, don't ask me) @LoversBlaseball #blaseball
Thomas Dracaena claims he isn't a vampire, but come on man. Obviously the illustrator was working from photo reference here. @nymillenials #blaseball
Nagomi McDaniel is just unbelievably fuckin haunted or something, I don't even know how to parse this @BlaseballCrabs #blaseball
And I have absolutely no idea what to even say about Polkadot Patterson. @MoistTalkers #blaseball
And finally we have good ol' Jaylen Hotdogfingers. You know, I asked around some old card collecting forums -- all of them are like this. Nobody has an unburnt Jaylen Hotdogfingers card anywhere. @TheSeaGarages #blaseball
Anyway, that's the set. Fun little trip down memory lane with this splort that has apparently existed for at least 133 years despite the fact that they didn't have websites then. Any chance of an explanation for that, @blaseball?
