So, one asshole said something wrong about that young lady's body, massive waves of people responded to Asshole with positive messages, other assholes ran out to trample the waves of positivity, and Buzzfeed has already "written" about it.

Stop discussing celebs' bodies!!!
OBVIOUSLY this applies to people who are not in highly visible careers too. It applies to a stranger on the street. I have thread pon thread about this and there are scholars on this who are welcome to take over; not tagging b/c I don't drag ppl into battle without asking first
You already know I have a disproportionately negative view of fame, based on personal experiences. And the way fame culture mingles with and amplifies misogyny and fatphobia, going round and round each other like a hideous, corrosive maypole...plus social media anonymity...
ppl talk about others' bodies behind these screens in ways that would get them curb stomped if you were in person and somehow it just gets worse, not better...?

Absolutely disgusting
This is about Billie Eilish, who is 18 years old & has been quoted as saying she generally wears baggy clothes for public appearances because she has large breasts that she'd rather people didn't focus on. She said this a few yrs ago when she was younger than 18, which she is now
So the teenager Billie Eilish with fabulous talent and massive acclaim and awards was photographed in a fitted top while out attempting to live what should be a private 18 year old life, which, why are those photographs a thing to being with, but lemme not digress...
And suddenly because one asshole with decent wifi was shocked to find she's not built like...a mannequin? A doll? I literally don't know what the fake "ideal" even is anymore...we're being subjected to exponential tiers of arguments saying body shaming is good and/or not real?
I hate how we got here but I'll still take any chance to say fatphobia is real. Body shaming is real. And the bodies of people with whom you are not intimate, treating/training in a professional capacity, or WHO HAVE NOT ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION ON THEIR BODY is not your business
If you're still reading this, gentle reminder that Billie Eilish is eighteen (18) years old. A teenager whose age ends in "teen," who was photographed in what should be her own time, on the street in slippers. Shame on the systems and people who've brought us here
